ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hi there! My name is Emily Wittenhagen. With Breeze Holistic, I’ve brought together some of my favorite healing practices of nutrition, herbal medicine, and hypnotherapy to offer a holistic approach to wellbeing. I’m so happy to be bringing all this back home from the west coast, growing a family and community in the beautiful state of Maine.

I came to herbal medicine and nutrition “from the ground up” by way of farming, growing the food and herbs I'd later study in more detail with the Bellebuono School of Herbal Medicine and the Maryland University of Integrative Health, where I received a Master’s in Nutrition and Integrative Health with a focus on herbal medicine.

Hypnotherapy came when I sought a way to go deeper with clients and found the wonderful teachers at the Wellness Institute and trained to become a certified hypnotist. I was immediately floored by the power of hypnotherapy and felt something click into place witnessing its ability to tend to the energetic, emotional parts of the self. I was thrilled to bring it to clients for exploring everything from relationship with food and the body to relationship with self and the larger world, and have continued with each session to be blown away by its capacity to offer release, renewal, clarity, and compassion where it is most needed.

It probably goes without saying that I believe strongly in earth medicine, from nature itself to the food and botanicals that grow within it. This is why practicing forest bathing has become a big part of my own personal therapy that I also love to share with clients. It’s also why I’ve spent so much time working with the land over the years, as a farmhand at farms including Seattle Tilth’s Red Barn Ranch, Russell Orchards, and Green Meadows Farm, as a gardener in Seattle, and as a student of beekeeping and permaculture at Yerba Buena Farm in Strawberry Fields, Jamaica. The land will always be elemental to my own wellbeing and I’m deeply thankful to the Abenaki land where I currently reside.

I love this work and believe in it with my whole heart, and it is an honor to walk alongside anyone on the “path!” See more details on the rest of the site, and get in touch below with any questions:
